Upcoming Events

We are looking forward to seeing you for our annual Back to School Night, Tuesday, August 29th!

The Back to School Night program formally begins at 6:20PM. It is a wonderful way to meet your student’s teachers, better visualize your student’s day, and renew your connection with the school. Your Parent Packet will be available in the Courtyard prior to the general meeting. Leadership students will be in hallways to assist you in finding classes during the classroom rotations portion of the evening.

Please remember the following, preceding the program:

  • Family Dinner, 5:00pm-6:15pm, in the Café. Click here to RSVP.
  • Fingerprinting for volunteers and drivers, 4:30pm-6:00pm, in the Trophy Lobby for $15.
  • Gold Cards, available for purchase, 5:00-6:15pm.
  • Parents Association Directory, additional copies available for $10.

Schedule for the Evening:

5:30pm      Parent Packet and Directory/Handbook available in the Courtyard
6:15pm      Meet in Gym
6:20pm      Opening Prayer
6:50pm      Classes Begin
Refreshments will be served in the Cafe after the last class, starting at 8:30PM.

Four MCP Students Earn Highest Honor

Aug 15, 2017

Four scouts from Troop 6, San Luis Obispo achieved the highest honor awarded by Boy Scouts of America, the rank of Eagle Scout, this summer. They are MCP senior Daniel Svitek, juniors Chris Smith and Charlie Reilly, and sophomore Andrew Church. Each Eagle Scout planned, fund raised and completed a community service project. Andrew repaired the arbor, replaced benches, and built a children's picnic table at the Santa Margarita Public Library. Chris built three structures to shade dogs and trainers at K9 Companions, a local non-profit providing comfort animals to wounded service members.

Royal Success at the California State Thespian Festival

For the fourth year in a row, MCP’s Troupe 7903 of the International Thespian Society made a trip to the California State Thespian Festival. 19 student delegates and 5 adult chaperones joined over 1100 attendees from 57 high schools, to spend three days celebrating excellence in high school theatre. Students presented prepared pieces for professional adjudication, auditioned & interviewed for scholarships, attended theatre workshops, and watched performances representing the best in the state.
