Admissions

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website to see if Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School is a good choice for you and your student. Deciding upon a high school is an incredibly important step in the education of your child.

Academics are the highlight of our program here at Mission Prep with students excelling while in high school and after graduation, attending notable four year universities. We offer many advanced placement courses, honors classes and office hours with each teacher from 3:00-3:45 pm from Monday to Thursday. Accommodations are also available for students who need extra assistance in their academics.

We believe in a comprehensive approach to education with co-curricular activities such as athletics, visual and performing arts, community service and campus ministry being an important part of the lives of our students.  We hope each student is able to discover their own place and be successful in their future academics and careers.

Mission Prep enables our students to support the community through various volunteer opportunities such as serving food at People’s Kitchen or volunteering on the weekend with Glean SLO to assist the local food banks. Students in each grade level are responsible for various service requirements, as an individual and corporately, as they connect with the local San Luis Obispo community.

In order to welcome visiting students to MCP, our school has programs such as Royal Ambassadors, a group of students dedicated to hosting guests and new students at Mission Prep. Student guests are partnered with a current Mission student who will host them throughout the day as they visit classes, enjoy lunch and meet both students and teachers. New students are welcomed to Mission warmly as they begin their journey to become women and men of scholarship inspiration and leadership.

We invite you to strongly consider Mission College Prep. Please let us know how we can help you during the admission process.
