We invite you to stay connected to your school. We encourage your lifelong involvement with Mission Prep, and we hope to facilitate that involvement by providing you with information on an ongoing basis about important issues and opportunities facing the school for which support from alumni, parents, and friends is needed. You may be interested in establishing an MCP alumni club in your city, or in locating a classmate, or in making a gift to MCP.

We hope you will find this site a helpful resource to do all of these things - and more. Most of all, we simply want to keep open the channels of communication between MCP and our alumni. MCP has established an Alumni Association for the purpose of promoting the mission of MCP, for maintaining regular contact between our former students and the school, and for promoting contacts and a sense of community among our alumni. The Alumni Association will host various events throughout the year to promote this fellowship.

Blythe Berg Wins 'Poetry Out Loud'

Mission College Prep senior Blythe Berg will represent San Luis Obispo County at the California State “Poetry Out Loud” competition March 25-26 in Sacramento. Berg, a resident of Paso Robles, won the countywide competition in February.

Joannie Hamm, Berg’s English teacher, will accompany her. This is the third time in six years that one of Hamm’s Mission College Prep students will face winners from other California counties at the statewide competition.

Lady Royals Fall Short in State Finals

The Lady Royals road to a state championship came up short as the Brookside Knights took advtange during a second and third quarter run to beat the Royals 70-64. 

Led by Senior Bri Harvey (22 pts, 9 rbs) the Lady Royals couldn't turn around a sixteen point deficit around in time to overtake the Knights. 

The season culminiated with the Lady Royals finishing with a 32-2 and highlight the careers of four departing seniors, Jenna Dunbar, Bri Harvey, Kaylee Williams, and Annie Meyers.

CIF Accolades Abundant for Royals

Mission Prep continued its great winter seasons with a plethora of CIF-SS honors.

Coaches Terrance Harris and John Krossa both took home CIF-SS 5AA Coach of the Year Honors. While Jenna Dunbar took home CIF-SS 5AA Player of the Year honors.

Fellow Seniors Kaylee Williams and Bri Harvey along with Zach Allmon also notched First Team All-CIF 5AA honors for their efforts this year.

Lady Royals Headed to State Finals!

The Lady Royals are continuing their historic run to Sacramento to the State Finals. The Lady Royals took down Rolling Hills Prep in convincing fashion in the second half in order to secure their spot in the State Finals.

Led by Jenna Dunbar, the #1 Lady Royals will take on #2 Brookeside Christian (Stockton) at 9:30am in Sacramento.

Wish our ladies luck as they look to take home Mission Prep's first State Championship.

Lady Royals Continue to Roll

The 2011-12 Lady Royals continue to roll through the 2012 playoffs. Coming off a CIF-SS D5AA Title, the Lady Royals had a week to celebrate and regroup as they earned a first round bye in the CIF State Playoffs. 

Saturday night saw the Lady Royals shut down early the visiting Avalon Lancers in route to a 51-16 victory. With the win, the Lady Royals move on to host Providence Tuesday night at 7pm at Cowitz Court.

Royals Set To Take On State Tournament

Both Royals basketball teams have earned a place in this weeks CIF State Basketball Playoffs. The Lady Royals with the #1overall seed will await the winner of the Tri-City/Avalon game to be played at Mission Prep Gym.

The boys earned an at-large bid after their loss to the #1 seed St. Bernard Vikings. They are the #4 seed in the CIF State bracket and will host Providence of Burbank Wednesday night at a time to be determined.

Come out and cheer on your Royals as they take on some of the states best!

Lady Royals Take CIF-SS 5AA Crown

The Lady Royals have taken down the 2011-12 CIF-SS Division 5AA crown in a hard fought victory over the second seed Villanova Prep.

The Lady Royals earned the #1 overall seed in this weeks state tournament and will host the winner of the Tri-City/Avalon game Saturday March 10th at a yet to be determined time.
