Welcome to the MCP Parents page. This page is specifically designed to inform, educate, serve and resource parents. To the right is a quick peek at the next five upcoming events and these will automatically update as the date passes. Below those dates is a section of quick links that take you to the Parents Association page, tuition payment plan website and other resources that are helpful on a regular basis. Down the page even further you will find links to the most recent Royal Prides (School Newsletter to Current Parents) and documents that might be needed during your time at MCP. FInally, in the center of the page recent news that celebrates our MCP community is automatically streamed to the page as it is addeed to the website.

Royals take down short handed Sherman Indian

Nov 15, 2010

The Mission Prep Royals took down short handed Sherman Indian of Riverside Friday night. In the win Senior running back Jesse Andreini ran for a season high 127 yards and three touchdowns. 

Also in the victory, Tyler Baty connected on touchdown passes with Trevor Fernandez and Joey Hall.

The effort wasn't enough as the Royals were not selected for an at-large bid into the CIF Southern Section Northeast Division Playoffs. 

The Royals look to build for next season as they graduate nine players and will return 17 letter winners

Football hosts Sherman Indian for Senior Night

The Royals play host to visiting Sherman Indian of Riverside, Ca tomorrow night at 7pm. This game will mark the Royals final regular season home game as well as Senior Night.

Robotics Awarded Softec Grant

Mission Prep Robotics will present its 09-10 winning underwater robot, as well as its new land VEX robot, at the Softec Robotics Grant Reception to be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach. Softec recently awarded Mission Prep Robotics a $500 grant in recognition of past successes of the program, as well as its commitment to build the future. MCP physics teacher and robotics moderator, Vickie Backman, submitted the grant proposal on behalf of the school club.

Mission Prep announces its partnership with Creative Mediation, a SLO area non-profit specializing in conflict-resolution. The MCP team comprised of students, staff, and faculty members seeks a positive impact on campus culture by pursuing training and becoming a new campus resource for enhanced communication and relationship-mediation.

Mission's Green Team Wins Contest

The SLO County Air Pollution Control District announced this week that Mission Prep's Green Team has won the "Community Involvement" award from the Pollution Prevention School Challenge. The county agency was impressed by Mission's project, pointing out that it "demonstrated a real-world solution to the high amount of transportation emissions in our County." Mission's project will be made available for adaptation by other area schools.

Athletics and Campus Ministry Team-Up with McLintock's

The MCP athletics and campus ministry departments have partnered with McLintock's restaurant and Mission Alumni Toney Breault ('89) to provide catered luncheons to each athletic team during seasonal play throughout the year. Team members gather before the luncheon in order to pray for their opponents, to pray for their teammates and school, and to pray for their own commitment to integrity and honor through sport. Then the team enjoys fantastic food by the famous area restaurant. We are also grateful for the partnership of Old Mission Parish and Deacon Chuck Roeder in this regard.

Royals Fall On Homecoming

Tyrone Sauls proved to be too much for the Royals as he accounted for all of the Patriot's scoring in the Royals 26-48 loss Friday Night at Homecoming. 

Despite the lopsided score, there was much for the Royals to be proud of. The Royals had their first 100 yard rusher of the season as Senior Jesse Andreini rushed for 107 yards. Sophomore receiver Andy Rowley had a breakout evening as he had seven receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns.

Homecoming Excitement on MCP Campus

Mission Prep welcomes Christian Jr/Sr High School to campus tonight for our Homecoming football game, as well as all returning Alumni/Alumnae, Mission families, students, and local visitors. We are proud to host this event for our community.

Student activities today feature the homecoming videos and Royal Court presentation at 11:24 and the Powder Puff competition on the field this afternoon at 2:22. Once the homecoming court arrives at the field tonight, the crowning of the king and queen will occur at halftime of the varsity game.
