Welcome to the MCP Parents page. This page is specifically designed to inform, educate, serve and resource parents. To the right is a quick peek at the next five upcoming events and these will automatically update as the date passes. Below those dates is a section of quick links that take you to the Parents Association page, tuition payment plan website and other resources that are helpful on a regular basis. Down the page even further you will find links to the most recent Royal Prides (School Newsletter to Current Parents) and documents that might be needed during your time at MCP. FInally, in the center of the page recent news that celebrates our MCP community is automatically streamed to the page as it is addeed to the website.

All In for Mission / Tuesday, March 24th

We’re proud to unveil All In For Mission, MCP’s first online giving challenge!

On Tuesday, March 24, MCP will hold its first ever online giving challenge with a goal of 24 people making a donation in 24 hours.

An alumni has pledged $5,000 to MCP's Annual Fund as long as 24 other donors also step up and make gifts on March 24th. Help us win this pledge by joining us and go All In For Mission!

MCP Schedule Change, February 25th

Mission Prep will not be having school on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 as we will be holding our 7th Grade Visitation Day.  We will be welcoming over 125 7th graders to MCP’s campus that day and in order to best meet their needs and to provide a meaningful experience,  MCP student volunteers will have the opportunity to earn service hours by assisting and welcoming our guests.

IMPORTANT: 2015 Advanced Placement Course Exams

All students taking AP courses are expected to take the AP exams.  Exam fees are to be paid by March 5, 2015.  The cost is $91 per exam.  The cost goes up to $100 for each exam for payments received after March 5, 2015.

MCP Receives Robotics Program Grant

Sep 30, 2014

Joe Klocko, the Director of the Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) at the College of the Canyons, announced today that Mission Prep has been selected to receive a High School Robotics Programs Financial Support Award in the amount of $5,000. Mission Prep’s Robotics Club challenges students to collaborate in building and programming complex robots to perform specific tasks. The club then participates in both land and underwater competitions, many of which Mission Prep has been very successful in recent years.

Presentation, Engaging About Faith With Your Teen

Come and See – calling parents of teens and others who enjoy the blessing of teens in their life (Godparents, Aunts and Uncles, etc.)  Our topic for adults who enjoy growing in their faith is “Engaging in conversations about faith with your teen”.  Our speaker is Donna Gibson (who holds an MS in child, youth and family studies with youth development emphasis).  Donna will be speaking about recent sociological findings on adolescent spiritual development.  Please spread the word and join us on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:00 pm in the parish hall at Mission San Luis Obispo.
