This form will need to be filled out by students and signed by teachers whose classes they will miss for a school activity or athletic event. Mission's Green Team Wins Contest

The SLO County Air Pollution Control District announced this week that Mission Prep's Green Team has won the "Community Involvement" award from the Pollution Prevention School Challenge. The county agency was impressed by Mission's project, pointing out that it "demonstrated a real-world solution to the high amount of transportation emissions in our County." Mission's project will be made available for adaptation by other area schools.

Athletics and Campus Ministry Team-Up with McLintock's

The MCP athletics and campus ministry departments have partnered with McLintock's restaurant and Mission Alumni Toney Breault ('89) to provide catered luncheons to each athletic team during seasonal play throughout the year. Team members gather before the luncheon in order to pray for their opponents, to pray for their teammates and school, and to pray for their own commitment to integrity and honor through sport. Then the team enjoys fantastic food by the famous area restaurant. We are also grateful for the partnership of Old Mission Parish and Deacon Chuck Roeder in this regard.

Royals Fall On Homecoming

Tyrone Sauls proved to be too much for the Royals as he accounted for all of the Patriot's scoring in the Royals 26-48 loss Friday Night at Homecoming. 

Despite the lopsided score, there was much for the Royals to be proud of. The Royals had their first 100 yard rusher of the season as Senior Jesse Andreini rushed for 107 yards. Sophomore receiver Andy Rowley had a breakout evening as he had seven receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns.

Homecoming Excitement on MCP Campus

Mission Prep welcomes Christian Jr/Sr High School to campus tonight for our Homecoming football game, as well as all returning Alumni/Alumnae, Mission families, students, and local visitors. We are proud to host this event for our community.

Student activities today feature the homecoming videos and Royal Court presentation at 11:24 and the Powder Puff competition on the field this afternoon at 2:22. Once the homecoming court arrives at the field tonight, the crowning of the king and queen will occur at halftime of the varsity game.

Elks Students of the Month Announced

MCP announces that seniors James Stratton and Rebecca Kudija have been named Elks Student Scholars of the Month for October. Tucker Marsano and Annie Mooney are November winners for the Elks organization. The Elks student awards recognize excellence in academics and service as major criterion for selection of monthly winners. Students are honored at an awards dinner and receive a small monetary prize. Thanks to the Elks for promoting scholarship, inspiration, and leadership among our students.

Royals defeat Titans

Nov 1, 2010

The Royals, taking on their second LPL of the season, came away with a 21-7 victory over host Nipomo Titans. Falling behind 7-0 after a long touchdown run, the Royals answered back with 21 unanswered points. 

Sophomore quarterback Tyler Baty (pictured) had a career night going 19-of-33 for 335 yards passing for 1 TD and a rushing TD. Senior running back Jesse Andreini also rushed for a 4-yard TD, and Baty's favorite target Junior wide receiver Zach Allmon had a career night catching eight passes for 156 yards.
