Campus Ministry is in need of magazines for an upcoming activity. If you have an extra magazine (or two, or three...) laying around, please drop them off in the Mrs. Buresh's office by Tuesday, January 30th.

National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States in which schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, communities, and nation.


This year’s celebration takes place beginning the week of January 28 – February 2, 2024 at Mission College Prep. We will be celebrating Mass on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Mission and all are welcomed. Please click the link to see the daily dress up themes and dress code. The theme is “United in Faith and Community”

Ticket sales open on Wednesday, January 31st for the 40th annual Royal Dinner & Auction on Saturday, September 21st from 4-9 PM in the MCP gym. This year's theme is the "Royal Canteen" a 1940's USO style dinner & auction! Early bird ticket sales will be open starting January 31st - May 31st. Pull a table of friends together to get the best deal in town while supporting a worthy cause. Questions, want to volunteer or donate... please email Karen Beaudin at [email protected].

This is a reminder that our Spring Athletics Parent Meeting is coming up on Monday Feb 5 @ 56pm in MCP Café Royale. MCP Merch will be available for purchase as well. This is a great opportunity to meet the Spring coaching staff and hear wisdom from Kevin Hitchen, our Athletic Director. There will also be Kitchen Use Training just prior @ 5:30pm if you need to get that done. These events are both on the MCP calendar that you can link to your phone if you haven’t already. MCP Drama students will perform on Saturday at the California State Thespian Play Festival at Arroyo Grande High School, competing with 30 high Schools in the state.

Their performance of the Importance of Being Earnest will be adjudicated by a panel of theatre professionals where Judges will select the top three plays .
One outstanding entry from each event will be announced later and will be invited to perform on the Main Stage at the California State Thespian Festival.

BINGO-BINGO-BINGO!!! Mark your calendar now to join us for the MCP annual Bingo Night and Spaghetti feed in the MCP Gym. This year's bingo night is on Friday, March 8th and is open to all ages. Ticket sales will open next week.

This past Saturday, January 13th the freshmen families supported the People's Kitchen. It was a great morning of serving 93 people in our community a warm meal. The freshmen class really showed up with hot lasagna, exceptional grilled veggies and healthy fruit salads... plus tasty cookies! A special thank you to student servers Eddie, Skyler, Brennan, and Isaac; and to all of the student and parent donors/co-coordinators and North/South country drivers. Senior families, mark your calendars for February 10th which will be your final People's Kitchen.

MCP's annual Job Fair is coming up on Wednesday, March 13th and we are in need of local businesses to offer employment, internship, or volunteer opportunities to our students. If you have a business that would like to participate, please contact our Parents Association Job Fair Co-Coordinators Mary Verdin at [email protected] or Trudie Safreno at [email protected].

Please note, we have a calendar change for this coming week - Wednesday, January 17th will now be an EARLY DISMISSAL at 12:45 PM and Friday, January 19th will be a normal dismissal at 2:40 PM. We will have a special guest speaker for the senior class during Flex on Friday. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. The school website & app calendar have been updated with the correct class rotation and times.
