Athletic Facilities

MCP provides state-of-the-art facilities support for student programming across the curriculum in a healthy and safe fashion, while also showcasing our tradition of excellence & communicating our mission and vision.

Mission College Prep Field:

  • Home to Mission College Prep Football, Boy’s and Girl’s Soccer, and Baseball
  • Baseball dimensions: left-field 285 ft, center-field 360 ft, right-field 330 ft
  • Permanent lighting
  • Playing surface – natural grass
  • Renovated 2007

Mission College Prep Gym:

  • Inaugurated – Fall 2004
  • Home to Mission College Prep Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball, Boy’s and Girl’s Volleyball
  • State of the art pine flooring
  • NBA Style portable Porter backboards
  • Named “Cowitz Court” after long time Varsity head coach and teacher at Mission College Prep Jay Cowitz. Under Cowitz’s leadership the Lady Royals won 14 consecutive CIF championships (a record that is held to this day). After his death in 2003 the San Luis County Girls Player of the Year Award for basketball was named after Cowitz.
