Finals begin on Monday, December 12th and run through Friday, December 16th – depending on your student's classes. We hope this helps explain the schedule -

This season MCP has chosen to adopt four families in need of some extra Christmas love. The families are given to us by the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of SLO program. Each class has been assigned one family. If you are able to help a little this holiday season we would love your support. There are so many families in need in our community. All items must be in to the front office at MCP by Wednesday, December 14th. Thank you for your generosity. Please click the link to sign up.

Mission College Prep is thrilled to announce that Anna Pompa received a full four-year scholarship to Boston College through the @QuestBridge National College Match. Way to go Anna!!!

‘Tis the season to be generous. Our homeless population is in great need during the winter season and are in need of your extra coats, sweatshirts, beanies, sweatpants, blankets (twin size), sleeping bags, towels, and bedsheets. Take some time this week to clean out your closet and see if you have any items that are in good shape that you don’t use any more or head to the store and pick some items up. Donation bins will be placed throughout the school through the beginning of next week. Please only donate the suggested items – the items on our list are the ones they are in most need of at this time. We appreciate your kindness during this season. Deadline is next Wednesday, December 14.

Come spend an evening with MCP alumni Dante Marsh & The Vibe Setters. This night will have new production.

Tuesday night, MCP Varsity Basketball coach Terrence Harris reached his 300th win of his career. He would like to, "Thank every current and alumni players who has helped him reach this milestone. Without all of you players, this would never be possible. This milestone is because of all of you and I share this historic moment with my amazing basketball family." From Mike Susank, "You will not find a finer example of exceptional servant leadership, faith, care and accountability, than coach Harris." Go Royals!

Every year the SLO Downtown Christmas Parade closes the streets around the MCP campus. The campus will close at 4pm Friday, December 2. Surrounding streets will also be affected, including the closure of the northbound Highway 101 offramp at Broad Street from 4 to 9 p.m. We recommended that you vacate the parking garage or nearby streets by 4pm to avoid your car being ‘trapped’ downtown until close to midnight. Come see the best in high school basketball at the 23rd Mission Prep Christmas Classic. This year’s tournament features teams from California, Alabama, and Washington. Add plans during your Christmas festivities to stop by MCP for the Christmas Classic December 17-21.

Please join us for the Parents Association Monthly Meeting & Christmas Party tomorrow, Friday, December 2nd from 8:00-9:45 AM in the Café Royale. Join in on the fun by wearing an Ugly Sweater and bring a $10 or less wrapped present for our famous gift exchange! We hope to see you there.
