Please join us for the MCP Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, May 21st on the MCP field. The tournament will run 9AM - 1PM with a cash prize awarded to the top team. Now through June 5th, Early Bird Discount tickets are on sale for the 38th Annual Royal Dinner & Auction on Saturday, September 24th from 5-9 PM at MCP. Each year this event sells out - so don't wait! Enjoy an evening under the stars, catered by F.McLintock's along with some of the Central Coast's best wine, beer and spirits. Our MCP Softball team got it done on Wednesday! In the second inning, MCP was down 1-0, but the tide soon changed. In the bottom Hanford West moved their outfielders in to the dirt, assuming Mikaylee Gordon couldn't hit the ball hard. I guess they didn’t do their homework as she has multiple home runs this year. She proceeded to hit it over the outfielders heads to lead the inning off with a triple. Big Bats from Roxanne, Savannah, and the rest of the squad got the 3rd the Royals got on the board for the first time with 4 runs. We the ran away with the game ultimately winning 12-3. The Lady Royals look to defend their two seed against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears today at 4:30 PM at Cuesta College. Go Lady Royals!

Exciting news for our MCP Track team as we have 8 athletes who qualified for the CIF Central Section Masters meet which is where the Top 18 competitors for all 4 divisions come together for a chance to move on to the CIF State Meet. Our representatives are:

• Anthony Erikson - 1600m and 800m
• Patrick Thomas - 3200m
• Jamar Howard - Long Jump
• Wyatt Maulhardt - 200m and 4x100 relay
• Cole Tanner - 4x100m Relay
• George Kardashian - 4x100m Relay
• Luke Terry - 4x100m Relay
• Drew Harrigan - 4x100m Relay

The CIF Masters Meet will be held on Saturday, May 21st at Buchanan High School in Fresno. Go Royals!

MCP's Charlie Gibbs is in the top 4 of the UFEA League and has the potential of playing in 3 more matches all against quality opponents. Click the link to tune in and cheer Charlie on Tuesday, May 17th!

In preparation for the 2022-2023 school year we are offering a physical night at MCP on May 18th from 6-8pm. In order for an athlete to participate in a sport at MCP they must be cleared through obtaining a physical (this includes practicing this summer). This night is set up to give our families an opportunity to take care of this requirement as soon as possible. You do not have to attend the physical night, you may obtain a physical through your own pediatrician. However, an athlete cannot participate in his/her sport until this requirement is complete. MCP Men's Tennis team has made the history books as the first team in our school history playing men's tennis to cinch the Central Section Division IV title! Congratulations Royals!!!

MCP Track & Field competed at the CIF Division 4 Championships on Wednesday, May 11th with some amazing results. The Men's Team placed 2nd out of 28 teams and took home the CIF Division 4 Championships Runner-Up plaque. Long distance runners Anthony Erikson took 1st in the 1600m and 800m and Patrick Thomas took 1st in the 3200m and 2nd in the 1600m qualifying them to compete at the All Central Section Masters Meet on Saturday, May 21st in Fresno.
