Happy birthday to Hunter & Angelo, our two Leap Year students who turned 4 today!

MCP students in Conceptual Physics were investigating the Snell’s Law; taking and analyzing data, and finding the Index of Refraction of water and glass. Students then compared their findings to accepted values for the indices of refraction for water and glass.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Paso Robles will be hosting a Lenten Retreat for Youth on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This retreat is for ages 14-17 and will feature Father Orozco. Click the image for more information.

MCP's Women's Soccer team will be competing tonight for the Division IV Championship title at San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno. Tickets must be purchased through the GoFan App (linked below). Gates open at 4:30 PM with the match starting at 5:30 PM. Attached is a map of the stadium, parking and campus. MCP's Men's Basketball team will be playing for the Division II CIF Championship title tonight at Selland Arena in Fresno. Game starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster (with additional fees) or in person at the Selland Arena box office for $15 for Adults or $10 for Students/Seniors. Parking is $10. MCP's lost & found is getting very full!!! Please have your student check the lost & found in the athletics hallway and main office before Friday, March 1st. We will be donating all lost & found to a local charity.

The Mid-State Fair Dance is Saturday, March 9th in the MCP Courtyard hosted by FFA & Student Council. FFA will be teaching line & swing dancing from 7:30-8:30pm and at 8:30 Student Council will take over with more dancing and games. All students and grade levels are invited with Spirit Points being up for grabs. Additionally, FFA members will receive an FFA activity point for attending the dance. Wear your best country gear!

The activities and dance are from 7:30-10:00 PM in the MCP Courtyard. The gates will open at 7:30pm, and no students will be admitted after 8:30pm. Juniors and Seniors can leave at 9:30, Sophomores can leave at 10:00, and Freshmen can leave at 10:10 after helping to clean up. Dance guest passes can be obtained from Tom in the Main Office and need to be turned in by Thursday, March 7th at 3pm. Roll the dice, MCP’s random breathalyzer technique, will be utilized to encourage students to make good decisions. Students who do not sign in on the 5-Star App or have their Student ID will be charged $5 at the door. Dress code will be posted online and on flyers around the school.

This Friday, February 23rd two MCP teams will be competing in the CIF Finals! Men's Basketball will be heading to Selland Arena in Fresno to compete for the CIF Division II Finals against Dinuba. Game starts at 8PM. Women's Soccer will be traveling to Fresno to complete against San Joaquin Memorial on their pitch for the CIF Division IV Finals. Game starts at 5:30PM. Please come out and cheer on your MCP Royals!
