The oldest living Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School Graduate in San Luis Obispo, CA, turns 100 years old Friday, March 29th 2024. The Matriarch of Alumni was born Lucille Bettencourt; now Lucille “Nana” Mello. Nana Mello was one of 8 students - 3 boys and 5 girls - in the graduating class of 1942.

MCP’s Troupe 7903 of the International Thespian Society attended the California State Thespian Festival for the ninth time this past weekend.

Ticket sales are now open for MCP's annual Fine Arts Gala on Saturday, April 27th benefitting the drama, art and music department. This year's gala will feature a performance of Guys & Dolls with a cocktail and appetizers hour starting at 6PM and show at 7PM. Come dressed up in your best cocktail/gala attire for this fun night of great singing, dancing, art and fun. The Gala is a 21 & over event. Click the link for more information or to purchase tickets. During this last marking period of the semester, MCP will be offering academic support seminars for students and parents. Please click the link for more information.

Please join us for our Parents Association Monthly Meeting tomorrow, Friday, April 12th starting at 8:00 AM in the Café Royale. If your student is assigned an item for this weekend's People's Kitchen, feel free to drop off your non-perishable item with your student's name on it and we can deliver it for you. Don't forget you earn a parent service hour for attending these meetings. We hope to see you there!

MCP's Beach Volleyball team has been playing really well this season! Last week, all three teams made it into the Gold bracket with solid performances in pool play and made it to the quarters.  Ella Hais and Hannah Garrett took it from there and took home the win for MCP!  Proud of all of them. Way to go Lady Royals!!!
