MCP's FFA program will be offering corsages, boutonnieres, and mini bouquets for sale now through April 10th. The FFA program's 'Floral Shop' has been practicing their skills all year long and are ready to sell beautiful prom arrangements to our families. Students in Honors Physics this week, were tasked with building a Leyden Jar using a water bottle, salt, a nail, and aluminum foil. Students then test the capacitor for how much charge it can hold and work on improving their design for the capacitor to hold more charge. Students then discuss how a capacitor works and modifications to their Leyden Jar.

The Western Association for College Admission Counseling will be hosting their annual Central Coast Spring College Fair on Wednesday, April 10th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Templeton High School. All students are welcomed to attend this free event. Parents and students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from over 100 colleges from all around the world. Re-Enrollment for current MCP students for the 2024-25 school year is currently open. You can access re-enrollment by logging into your FACTS Family Portal, clicking the Apply/Enroll link on the left-hand side, and clicking Re-enrollment. If registration is completed by March 31, 2024 at 4:00 pm and paid in full, the registration fee will be discounted to $675. Otherwise the registration fee is $900.

Questions regarding re-enrollment, please contact Carlesha Harris at [email protected]. If your student will not be returning to MCP next year, please choose the “Will Not Enroll” option in the re-enrollment link.

Seder is the meal Jesus ate with his disciples on the night before he died. The elements of the meal represent his body and blood and Jesus giving himself to his disciples. This year on Tuesday, March 26th during Holy Week, MCP would like to celebrate Seder with the MCP students. We are in need of parent help with contributions for this schoolwide meal and volunteers to help with set up and clean up. Please click the link to help. Thank you!

Mass at the Mission is always special, but today's mass was made even more special with over a hundred grandparents present and Bishop Daniel Garcia presiding. Thank you to all who attended.

MCP's Mock Trial team competed last month in the county-wide competition. Our very young team barely missed making it to the semi-final round, but was awarded with many individual awards. MCP Junior, Savita Sohi made county history by being awarded the trophy for BOTH the Best Prosecution Witness and Best Defense Witness. This is incredibly rare in Mock Trial competition and we are very proud of Savita's hard work. Other individual award winners included: Sabrina Ornellas, Runner-Up for Prosecution Witness; Andy Tracy, Honorable Mention for Defense Attorney; and Avrum Kline, Honorable Mention for Defense Attorney. Congratulations to all!

MCP Athletics Department has partnered with CAPPOHealth to offer students the opportunity to schedule a free cardiovascular diagnostic test. On April 16th & 17th CAPPOHealth will be on campus providing tests during the day in our gym. Mass: At 10:00 AM, we'll walk over together for Mass, sharing a peaceful and reflective moment. It's a beautiful opportunity to connect and celebrate our shared values.

Lunch: After Mass, grandparents have the special opportunity to take their grandchildren off campus for lunch. A precious time to catch up, share stories, and enjoy each other's company.
